I wrote this news release for Special Olympics Louisiana - Capital Area's "Unified in Victory" campaign kickoff event, Camp CASOL. It was aimed at the intellectually disabled and friends of the intellectually disabled community in the greater Baton Rouge area.
I wrote this news release for Special Olympics Louisiana's Track and Field district competition. It was targeted toward the intellectually disabled and friends of the intellectually disabled community near the East Baton Rouge Parish, Zachary, Ascension and Central school systems.
Special Olympics Louisiana - Capital Area hosted other chapters throughout the region during the qualifying event for the state competition. The news release was sent and was picked up by WBRZ-TV.
I worked with another student as a public relations writer for Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area. It was targeted toward Alzheimer's disease caregivers and supporters to give information about the events during Alzheimer's Awareness month.
This news release was created in collaboration with another student to gain media coverage for the 22nd Annual Education Conference hosted by Alzheimer’s Services. The target audience was caregivers and social workers.
